How to Join the
Order of the Amaranth
Who can join?
Any male that is a Master Mason in good standing is eligible to become a member. Females over the age of eighteen (18) are eligible to join with the recommendation of a Master Mason.
How can I Join?
By completing a petition for membership, having it signed by two present member of the Order, paying the necessary petition fee and submitting it to your local Court of Amaranth for consideration.
What happens after I submit my petition?
Your petition will be received by the Court at its next regular meeting and an Investigating Committee will be assigned. The committee is there to get to know you and answer any questions you may have about the Order of the Amaranth and the next steps. After meeting, the Committee will report back to the Court and they will ballot on your request for membership. If elected, you will be notified by the Court Secretary and notified of your initiation date.
What happens at the Initiation?
You will be put through the degrees of the Order of the Amaranth and taught the beautiful and impressive lessons concerning the four principle virtues of the Order: Truth, Faith, Wisdom and Charity. These lessons will be given within the setting of a queenly court during the period of chivalry. As members, we identify one another through out titles as Honored Ladies and Sir Knights.
